• How Many Ways Could You Use Fields Lodge?

    Fields Lodge is For Sale

Since it was built, Fields Lodge has been a home for a few families, some were only here a short while, some many, many years. I think I’m in the many, many years category, and I have been a proud custodian.

I was chatting with some friends recently and we were discussing all the  different ways that Fields Lodge transform into with the next custodians.

Originally it was my home, and then many years later, I turned it into a B&B and I moved into the stables (what we call the annex), giving the guests the main house.

Have a look at the list we came up with and let me know if you think of something else!

    What could it become?

A Family Home, nothing more complicated than that-there’s 4 double bedrooms in the main house and one in the annex-the annex could even be joined up with the main house if required.

A Multi-generational home; one generation could live in the 4 beds, with one other generation in the annex, be it, older parents or a young adult wanting some private personal space.

The Annex could be used for a Hobbies Studio-maybe Painting (fantastic light here), a potter, a crafter or a bespoke Gym, a teenagers games room, a cinema room

A self-employed business could run from the annex, a working from home office, or a health coach, an area to teach demonstrations, cooking or sewing, a studio for Pilates or Yoga or Gong Baths. It could be for teaching Piano or any instrument, where you’d like to be away from the main house, a music studio, or an architect wanting some quiet space.

Upstairs in the stables(what we call the annex) is my favourite place to watch the birds, the boats and read enjoying the countryside.

It could be a family home in the 4 bed house and a holiday let in the annex-it’s got it’s own garden and a BBQ patio area and a hot tub for those summer evenings.

And, of course, it could always be a B&B, which it’s been run as, as a multi-award winning B&B for the last 11 years.

    Open Day

We are having an open day on Saturday Aug 6th 11am-2pm, so if you’d like to come and have a look at what you might do with the property then just pop along-you don’t need to make an appointment-we’d love to see you!

And if you’re sad you can’t come to stay at Fields Lodge at the moment, then check out our sister property, The Marina Apartment,  No 28 Smokehouse Quay
