Inspiration

Today I went and put myself in front of a different view.

We all work differently and today I needed some inspiration for content planning.

As most of my business is conducted online, the B&B, No. 28, my small business mentoring help…all of it is generated by online content, whether that’s social media, blogs, You Tube or website…it all needs planning.

And sometimes, it’s just hard to get these things done, when you’re already so busy ‘doing’! And yet, this is the life blood of your business, its the heart that pumps the blood around.

Get yourself a different view

So, I took myself off to Newgale Beach to breathe in the uplifting fresh sea air that hits you in the face on days like these.

Many ‘experts’ say that you need to come away from your normal work place for inspiration to show itself, as in your normal surroundings you are always bogged down by your day to day ‘to-dos’.

I was too early for a coffee shop visit, and I also wanted peace, nature and fresh air-these are the things that feed me.

I had the beach to myself.

I saw the waves develop from foam to roaring white horses, crashing down then ebbing away with their energy spent towards the shore.

I’m so lucky to be here in Pembrokeshire with so many beaches to choose from, to find my inspiration.

So, after some fresh air, I sat in my car and took some time out to think about my content planning and got down 50 ideas for the coming weeks.

No swimming for me

I hadn’t brought my bathers with me, so it was only a walk for me this morning, that and a coffee that I had brought from home to enjoy.

I normally swim in the beaches within a 5 minute drive of us here at Fields Lodge, It’s high tides in the morning and early evening at present, and so I like to swim in the Creek or at Sandy Haven Beach, as they are right on our doorstep. But I was thinking one morning where to go for a swim and without even giving it any thought, I named 10 beaches within just a few minutes of us, and that’s without even really giving it any thought, nor considering the smaller bays along the way.

We are blessed. I am blessed.

Luminescence here we come

So, this week with the tides being perfect, and the weather joining in too, I have enjoyed morning and evening swims along Sandy Haven Beach, Sandy Haven Slip, The Creek, Gelliswick Bay and Broad Haven. This weekend coming I am looking forward to a night time swim!

Luminescence has been spotted in West Angle Beach and I am hoping I will find it closer to home, but if not, Angle is an easy 30 minute drive and I’ll make a point of going there, if it’s still to be seen.
