What we are doing to keep you(and us) safe
Here are our safety rules and regulations to keep you, our valued guest, and us safe.
During this time we are offering fully flexible bookings which should you need to, you can move to another date later in the year or into next year.
These new guidelines are now part of our Terms and Conditions and we take that you are happy to comply by making a booking with us
We are proud to have been awarded the Visit Wales ‘Good to Go’ accreditation
General Information
We are reducing our occupancy initially by 25% to help with social distancing
We will maintain social distancing to the Welsh Government guidelines of 2metres wherever possible
We will wear facemasks where this is not possible
Sanitiser will be freely available for use by guests and we will be washing our hands frequently
We have always prided ourselves on our level of cleanliness and are now addding in additional protocols to ensure we follow government guidelines
All of our crockery and cutlery is washed through a professional dishwasher at high temperatures
All of our linen and towels are professionally laundered at high temperatures
We have achieved a 5 star(the highest) rating for food hygiene
We have been accredited by Visit Wales as ‘Good to GO’ for our covid procedures
We are making some changes you will see below to help keep you safe, these will be reviewed regularly in accordance with Welsh Government guidelines and so, do return to these guidelines regularly as we will be updating procedures as government advice changes
It is still our aim for you to have an amazing holiday and at the same time keeping you safe
Before Arrival
Following current government advice, please do not travel to us if you or anyone in your party are feeling unwell
Common Coronavirus symptoms are high temperarture, coughing, loss of taste and/or smell but there are many other symptoms, so if in doubt,please do not travel
We will happily move your booking to another date in the future with no penalty
Do please bring a face covering with you, as guidelines may change whist you are here. Currently, in Wales, it is mandatory to wear a face covering whilst on public transport but not required whilst shopping
It is presumed that you are happy to accept these new terms and conditions under your present booking
Arrival
You will be emailed arrival instructions particular to your stay
The B&B will be ready for you
Please sanitise your hands on entry, with the sanitiser found in the hallway-please do not touch anything until you have sanitised
Please avoid touching anything in the communal areas, although these will be sanitised regularly, it is preferable that as few people touch surfaces as possible
Check In
Check in will be contactless and any registration forms will be emailed to you for completion prior to your stay
If there is already a guest in the lobby, please wait outside until they have retired to their room
Please note we may take a forehead temperature. If we find your temperature is above 37.8 and remains so after a 15 minute relax, then we will ask you to arrange for a covid test and you will be asked to return home and self isolate as per the current guidelines. We will not be able to admit you.
Your booking ca n be moved to another date in the future suitable for you
During your stay
Should you see another guest coming down the hallway, please return to your room until they have vacated the corridor to allow social distancing
Your room
You will find a welcome pack in your room that has been sanitised for your use-this will cover the main aspects of your stay
The decorative cushions and throws will be removed in the interim for easier sanitising
Room amenities will be removed, but should you need anything, you will have a direct number to contact us for requests
Your tea tray will be condensed to minimise the items you may touch and extra supplies can be requested by contact to this dedicated number
Dirty crockery to be left outside your room door by 10.30am daily for cleaning
Please wash your hands on entering and just before leaving your room
We are not able to clean your room daily whilst you stay, we will supply you with a request form that you may complete for any additional daily items you may require
We ask that you empty and tie your own bin and place this outside your room by 10.30am-you will find extra bin bags under the one you have taken away
Any items you have requested that day will be left for you outside your room door
We will be using cleaning products to the required BS EN 1276 & 13727 & 14476 standards and these are used throughout the property
When we clean a room on guest departure, we will leave 24 hours between next check in, wherever possible
Housekeepers will wear full PPE and separate cleaning cloths will be used and disposed of for each room to ensure no cross contamination
Breakfast
At present, only in-room breakfast is allowed. During this time it will be a simple but delicious continental style breakfast. This will be served on a tray to your room. We will knock the door and leave the tray outside.
Once you have finished your breakfast we will ask that you return the used and dirty breakfast tray to outside your room by 10.30 so that we may collect
We will ask you to vacate your room daily by 10.30 am and to return no earlier than 4pm-this will allow the housekeepers time to clean and sanitise without causing any issues to guest safety
We hope that the breakfast room will be open from August 3rd and we will then be offering table service only, you can still avail yourself of our fabulous buffet before your hot dish and your choices will be brought to you directly from the kitchen
We will be offering condiments in sachets and jam & preserves by request only in individual containers, rather than on our buffet sideboard
We may need to stagger breakfast times
Breakfast times will be between 8am-9am
Evening Meal Options
We are still offering our Sharing Supper Platter on arrival if you choose to advance book this
In the interim it will be served in disposable containers with disposable crockery & cutlery, offered to you in a sealed bag
You will be asked to place in the bin anything left once you have finished and tie the bin and place this outside your room door by 10.30 am
Most restaurants are offering outside dining and many have marquee coverings to protect you from the weather-do make a reservation as these tables are filling up fast
It is hoped that inside dining will be allowed in Wales by August 3rd
We have made improvements to our rooms to allow in-room dining and should you wish to bring a takeaway back to your room we can provide you, on request a sealed pack of disposable crockery & cutlery for you use
Once you have finished your meal, we will ask you to place it all in the bin and tie the bin then place outside your room door by 10.30 am
Checking Out
We will charge any remaining balance on your account to the card given when making your booking. We are not able to take cash
Your key is to be deposited in the basket in the hallway so that we may sterilise this before the next guest
We may need to stagger check out times
Feeling Unwell During Your Stay?
Should you feel unwell during your stay with any of the common Covid symptoms then you must advise us immediately
You will be asked to register immediately for a test and will be required to return home to self isolate
Should you be unable to leave and need to stay at our property, then any additional stay costs will be borne by you for extra days stay or the need to re-accommodate guests already due to stay in the room you are occupying, plus any extra costs involved in deep cleaning the room to sanitise it from the virus.
You will not be able to leave your bedroom at all should this be the case
Other General Information
We will endevour to maintain a 2m social distance. Where this is not possible we will wear a face mask and we ask that you do the same-please bring your own
Please mainatin a 2m social distance from any guests
We have plenty of space in the garden and so, do enjoy this area
The honesty bar in the lounge will be unavailable at the moment but you are able to order a drink via the text service on the dedicated phone number
All staff will be temperature checked before they start work, we will hold these records for 21 days and then they will be destroyed
Should we find covid on the property or one of the staff tests positive and we have to self isolate then we may need to cancel your booking at short notice. Should this happen you will be offered alternative dates or a refund
Should we be able to still host you but not able to offer breakfast, then we will arrange an alternative venue for your breakfast
Please be aware that Wales has different laws to that of the other regions of the UK. Please keep up to date with any changes by checking back to this page regulrlar;y
It is important that as individuals we take responsibility for our own safety and so do be vigilant when out and about-maintain social diistancing, which in Wales is 2m and regulary wash your hands for more than 20 seconds
Hand sanitiser is freely available throughout the property and is made to the requirements of that of the World Health Organisation
We will review these guidelines frequently in the event of changing advice
